A charism retreat is a time of spiritual reflection aimed at recognizing, nurturing, and applying the gifts bestowed by the Holy Spirit for the benefit of the Church and others. It provides an opportunity for participants to discern their unique spiritual abilities—such as teaching, healing, interceding, prophesying, or evangelizing—and understand how to use them in accordance with God’s purpose. The goal is to help the retreatants grow in their faith, recognize their calling, and become more effective instruments of God’s grace in their communities.

Rev. Dr. John Jose Vettiyankal is the Director of Logos Retreat Centre, Bangalore, India. In earlier times, he has served as the Provincial of the St Joseph Province of the Vincentian Congregation; Director of Retreat Centres in Bombay, Madras in India and Rector of Seminary in Kerala, India. He has founded Retreat Centres in many countries. Responding to the call of Saint Pope John Paul II for Global Evangelization, in the past thirty years, he has travelled to all the continents of the world preaching the Gospel and spreading the Divine Mercy Chaplet Novena. Author of many best-selling books, a consultant in Canon Law, he has a couple of doctorates too. He is also the official Exorcist of the Bangalore Catholic Archdiocese. Numerous signs and healings have been reported in the healing services led by Rev. Dr. John Jose Vettiyankal. Many videos of the ministry are available on the internet.
